VOTE TO MAKE ALLIE POHL'S"IDEAL WOMAN - FUSCHIA CARYATID" PERMANENT IN FLORIDA
Plus Gallery artist Allie Pohl now has her spectacular sculpture
"Ideal Woman - Fuschia Caryatid" on view in Winter Park
Florida as part of their "Art on the Green" exhibition.
The city is allowing the public to be proactive in helping them select
which artists work will be purchased and become a permanent part of
their collection. You can help Winter Park become one of the
coolest cities in the US by voting for Allie's work, just go online to
http://cityofwinterpark.org and click on the Art on the Green logo,
and then click on the "Vote" tab on that page. The
rest is self explanatory, but remember to add 32789 as your zip code,
as it is for local voters!
In addition to Allie's recent outdoor exhibition in Florida and
bathroom exhibition in LA, she was also recently featured on actress
Zooey Deschanel's happening new site "Hello Giggles," the
ultimate destination for "smart, independent and creative
females." Pohl definitely fits that bill perfectly, read
her latest interview on the site at
Plus Gallery is known as one of the true progressive contemporary exhibition spaces in Denver, maintaining the highest standards for artist representation and community interaction. Since 2001 the gallery has built a formidable reputation as a valuable resource for the art and collector community through solo exhibitions by some of Colorado's most prestigious and forward thinking artists, as well as an ongoing experimental forum for new media. The program offers an extensive selection of works by visionary national artists and often serves as an incubator for new emerging talent. Plus Gallery collaborates with partners throughout the Denver area in order to raise the vitality of the local scene, complementing the efforts put forth at the institutional level in order to construct a more creative and dynamic community.
In 2009 Plus Gallery relocated to one of downtown Denver's most unusual and dramatic structures, the "Flue" building of the Benjamin Moore Paint complex at 2501 Larimer Street at the entrance to the River North Arts District. This singular redevelopment incorporates a two-story gallery to enhance the sophistication and quality of artwork represented.
