Plus Gallery artist Mike Whiting received recognition in this week's "Best of Westword" for his public sculpture "Rhino" located at the corner of Larimer and Broadway. The work was installed last October and commissioned through funds of the Broadway Viaduct Lower Maintenance District. The BVLMD will be hosting a public dedication for Whiting's "Rhino," "Pinkie" and "Mr. Green" along with Mike Mancarella's "One Way" in celebration of the neighborhood improvements on First Friday in May the 6th. The event will take place at Plus Gallery, more details to follow soon but save the date now.
