Despite the congestion of activity occuring downtown, Friday evening's opening reception for Xi Zhang's "Awakening Dreams" and Nick Musaelian's "Heroic Paintings" was a major success at Plus Gallery, with many of Denver's most notable art-world luminaries and collectors coming out to view the dynamic new paintings. The general concensus from those who attended friday night is that this is one of the best exhibitions of the year.......and while this may be true, in our opinion it perfectly caps a year of simply outstanding exhibitions here at the gallery, including solo efforts by Bruce Price, Kate Petley and Mike Whiting, along with terrific group exhibitions such as the summer's "Invincible Cohort" and "You Are Here."
