Plus Gallery launches fall art season in grand-style next week

Plus Gallery is getting ready to launch our most exciting fall season ever, it starts next week with Allie Pohl's exhibition "Peacocking." The Denver Art Museum support group "CultureHaus" joins us in hosting our opening reception, taking place next Thursday evening September 12th.  The night will start with a members-only preview from 5:30 - 7pm, with Allie talking about the show to the group at 6:30pm. The general public is welcome to attend anytime thereafter from 7-9pm. Pohl's exhibition will be noted with a major article in the next issue of Modern In Denver, and 5280 will also be posting a spotlight on her as well in their fall issue.
Two more exciting notices are attached: Our final Friday Flash program No. 5 takes place on September 20th and promises to be the most exciting art program of the year. We will be hosting a VIP hour at the Spire in advance of that night's show on the LED screen, which includes a focus on an extremely exciting project presented by DTD collaborator Brian Corrigan taking place next year.  We'll carry on later into the evening with a post-series bash at Plus Gallery starting at 8pm, with special guest Alex McLeod visiting us for the first time from Toronto, in conjunction with Denver Digerati as well as DU's EMAD program.  We could not be more excited for that evening, the Press release for that event is attached here.
Finally, as we've noted previously, Plus Gallery artist Jenny Morgan makes her major NYC debut with Driscoll Babcock Galleries this October.  We've long held that Morgan will one day be regarded as the most prominent artist to come from Denver, and this show is already helping to position her in that direction, as the September issue of Modern Painters has noted her exhibition as one of the top 100 of the fall.
We'll be sharing more news on all of these fronts and more as we move into the fall season next week.  Thank you for continuing to support our efforts in raising the bar for contemporary art in Denver.
