We've had only rave reviews from last Friday evening's groundbreaking event "Local Network" featuring the Plus Gallery curated video-art program "Frame of Mind." Rarely does a single event arouse so much excitement and attendance, particularly on the streets of Denver, but the evening was truly a singular and spectacular development for both Create Denver Week as well as the Denver Theatre Districts unique LED platform for the visual arts.
Works by 30 artists were showcased that night, with the best of show award going to Denver artist David Fodel for his 50 second clip "Nimitta." We have posted David's clip online for all to see, though nothing can replicate the experience of seeing his and the other visually mind-bending works on the massive LED screen that is located downtown at 14th and Champa. The next time you drive or walk by, however, you might just see Fodel's and some of the other works from the show.

We do have some grainy footage live from the event also posted to our youtube page, great for seeing the setting for this unique event and the vibe that was created:

And finally, we also have Susan Froyd to thank for posting a wider view of the evening's event on her Westword blog:
