PLUS GALLERY AND ARTIST'S RECEIVE THREE SIGNIFICANT MENTIONS IN BEST OF WESTWORD

Plus Gallery has taken the current "Best of Westword" by storm, scooping up no less than three significant awards for the arts.  Our new building was recognized as the "Best New Gallery Space," with a special nod to architect Steve Chucovich for his design, which was noted as "intelligent and beautiful."  Plus Gallery artist John McEnroe was recognized for having the "Best New Public Art"   for his sculpture National Velvet at the base of the Highlands Walking Bridge, one of the few awards to have also been noted as "readers choice," a nice surprise considering the Glandale Cherry Creek Chronicle condemned the work and all public art for that matter in their current issue.  Finally, Plus Gallery artist Dave Yust was tapped for "Best  Solo by a local Master" for his recent exhibition Looking Back/Looking Forward at the Arvada Center, as magnificent an exhibition as one might find in the region this last decade.
