Just a few brief items for our final week of the summer:

The last day to view Gabriel Liston's current exhibition "Still on the wrong side of the water" is this Saturday, August 20th.   The gallery will close for the remainder of summer and reopen on Thursday, September 15th with the opening of Robin Schaefer's solo exhibition "Unlearning the Differences"

Alex McLeod opens a new solo show at Angell Gallery in Toronto next week.  McLeod's career is exploding, the value of his works have already doubled since we brought him in for last year's fabulous exhibition "You are Here."  His work was just published on the cover and inside the Italian edition of "Wired" magazine last week.

The Denver Art Museum hosts a major symposium on the state of contemporary ceramics in conjunction with their exhibition "Overthrown" on September 16th and 17th.  The keynote speaker to open the symposium on Friday the 16th is none other than New Yorker art critic Peter Schjeldahl, one of the most consistently interesting art writers in america today.   DAM Contemporary members get a discount for attending the symposium, we recommend finding out more information by visiting http://damcontemporaries.denverartmuseum.org or call 720-913-0152
