We received some of the most exciting news in the gallery's history over our summer break: Plus Gallery artists Xi Zhang has been asked to be one of the featured "Logan Lectures" this fall at the Denver Art Museum in a program designed around world-renowned Chinese Contemporary Artists. Not only is the Fall series extremely rare, but Zhang's inclusion in it is possibly as rare as can be for an emerging local artist. Zhang's work has been extremely well received across the board to date, his work can be found in numerous major local collections and the accolades keep coming every year. Zhang deserves the opportunity and the praise, the evolution of his life and work is simply fascinating and will soon be the subject of Plus Gallery's next major book, on track to be complete in advance of the DAM lecture on the 26th. Not only that, but he is one of the most personable, dare we say adorable human beings we've ever met, something that is oddly juxtaposed to the often visceral nature of his work.
